After having traveled in Australia for 9 months, I’m back now. This means the site will be under construction for the time being, to get everything back on track. We’ll be back soon. Thanks for your patience. When I left home to go on a trip to Australia, I was expecting to be able to update the site every now and then. Ever since I’ve arrived in Australia I’ve noticed that the amount of internet opportunities is less than I expected. Also I’ve noticed some bugs in the site script that I can’t possibly solve at this time. I need my own computer and my own programs. Which I don’t have right now. What this basically comes down to, is that the site won’t be updated until I come back home. Once I do, and I expect it to be … Academy Award winner Michael Giacchino, who won the Oscar for his Up score a couple of days ago, continues his fruitful relationship with Walt Disney Pictures. The studio has confirmed to MovieScore Magazine that Giacchino will be writing the score for John Carter of Mars, the new film by Andrew Stanton. Interestingly, Stanton’s previous films as a director (Wall-E and Finding Nemo), were both scored by Thomas Newman. John Carter of Mars is based on the Edgar Rice Burroughs novels and stars Samantha Morton, Dominic West, Polly Walker and Willem Dafoe. The imaginative story takes place on the planet Mars where … Avatar sets new records this week, whipping past The Dark Knight like an AMP suit running past a Batpod. But will the success of the Na’vi spell doom for Disney/Pixar’s John Carter of Mars? Variety is reporting that Avatar has finally beat the Dark Knight’s $533.3 million record, by grossing $552.8 million domestically, thanks to another winning weekend. While the film still trails behind Titanic in the U.S,. the gap is closing, and it’s already beat Titanic’s 1.24 billion international sales with an astounding $1.28 billion. Making Avatar the most successful film internationally… for now. Let’s all hope this does what we’re … Disney announced today that filming has begun on John Carter of Mars. The sci-fi adventure, which stars X-Men Origins: Wolverine’s Taylor Kitsch and Lynn Collins and Spider-Man and Daybreakers star Willem Dafoe, is an adaptation of the novels by Tarzan author Edgar Rice Burroughs. The film is being directed by Andrew Stanton, who directed WALL-E for Pixar, who had this to say: “I have been waiting my whole life to see the characters and worlds of John Carter of Mars realized on the big screen. It is just a wonderful bonus that I have anything to do with it.” “Academy Award-winning filmmaker Andrew … Women will be weeping on the streets of Dillon tonight. ‘Friday Night Lights’ is set to lose another member of its original cast as hunky Taylor Kitsch will not be returning as a series regular next season, TV Guide confirms. Kitsch, who plays resident bad-boy-with-a-heart-of-gold Tim Riggins, will be departing the series to focus on his upcoming big screen parts, most notably the titular role in sci-fi remake ‘John Carter of Mars,’ according to executive producer Jason Katims. “Because this was a big opportunity for him, we wanted to let him do that,” Katims says of Kitsch’s movie role, which begins shooting next … Any day now, Taylor Kitsch will cut his hair. To transform into the title character in John Carter of Mars—Wall-E director Andrew Stanton’s first live-action feature, based on Tarzan creator Edgar Rice Burrough’s sci-fi novels about a Civil War veteran’s adventures on the Red Planet—the 28-year-old actor, who plays the dreamy, brooding, beer-drinking, football-playing Tim Riggins on NBC’s cult drama Friday Night Lights, will lop off his locks for the first time since he was 19. “Hopefully, it’s a 10-year job,” Kitsch says of the potential franchise, which co-stars Willem Dafoe, Samantha Morton and Thomas Haden Church. Even though the motorcycle-riding actor … Director Andrew Stanton would currently be in the midst of shooting John Carter of Mars, if the original start date had not been pushed back from November until early 2010. All of the lead actors have been in place for several months, with Taylor Kitsch in the title role. Back in September, actress Lynn Collins, who will star opposite her X-Men Origins: Wolverine co-star as the Martian princess Dejah Thoris, said that some hair and makeup tests were being done. Apparently, however, the casting process has not even been completed yet, which could account for some of the delay in the production. … From today on until August next year the site won’t be updated as much as has been done from the moment the site opened. That’s because I, the administrator, will be away to Australia. I do have a laptop on which I can look for news, but I probably won’t be using it all the days. I need all the help I can get, so if you’re interested, please go to this page to apply. If, for some reason the contact form does not work, just send me an e-mail at: administrator [ATTA] taylorkitschonline.com. Remove atta with you-know-what. Any help would … Michael Ausiello reports at EW.com that Tim Riggins will be mostly ‘benched’ in the 5th season of Friday Night Lights. Executive producer Jason Katims confirms that the Disney movie “John Carter of Mars” will be filmed during the production of FNL’s final season. The filming of FNL season 5 begins in March next year and partly overlaps with the filming of JCoM. As a result, Katims says, Taylor will miss part of the season. But fortunately they’re communicating with the crew of JCoM crew to work out a schedule, so Taylor can take part in as much of season 5 as possible. Although … |
